International Nurses for your facility

Addressing staff shortages proactively

The shortage of skilled healthcare staff presents major challenges for hospitals and care facilities in Germany. International Nurses can make an important contribution to stabilizing services when recruitment and integration are professionally managed.

We support hospitals and healthcare institutions in recruiting qualified nurses from Europe and Thailand — through structured, transparent processes with a strong focus on sustainable integration.

We do not view international recruitment as short-term staffing, but as a long-term solution for stabilizing teams.

Our goal is not only to fill open positions, but to support the development of long-term stable teams within healthcare organizations.

International recruitment as a long-term solution

International nurses are an important part of the staffing strategy for many healthcare institutions.

When properly organized, international recruitment can help to:

  • fill vacancies permanently
  • reduce reliance on temporary staff
  • stabilize teams in the long term
  • reduce the workload of existing employees

Nursety Talent does not see international recruitment as the short-term placement of individual employees, but as a structured approach to the sustainable stabilization of nursing teams.

Complementary solution: nurses already in Germany (Domestic candidates)

In addition to international recruitment, Nursety Talent also supports employers in filling open positions with nurses who are already working in Germany and seeking a job change.

These so-called domestic candidates offer:

  • a recognized nursing qualification in Germany
  • professional experience in the German healthcare system
  • immediate availability without recognition or visa procedures

For Employers, this can be a valuable addition when qualified nurses are needed at short notice.

Our Recruitment Process for Employers

International recruitment requires clear processes and careful preparation.
Only a clearly defined process ensures that international nurses are professionally qualified, linguistically prepared, and successfully integrated into existing teams.

Nursety Talent supports healthcare providers throughout a clearly defined recruitment process – from needs analysis to the successful start of nurses in your organization.

Together with your organization, we define the specific staffing need and the desired qualification profile.
In addition to professional requirements, we also consider team structure, areas of deployment, and long-term perspectives.

We identify qualified nurses from Europe and Thailand and conduct a structured pre-selection.

Suitable candidates are presented to your organization and video interviews are arranged.

Depending on the country of origin, international nurses may require a recognition procedure.

We support the preparation of documents and coordinate the necessary steps with the relevant authorities.

Before arrival, we support nurses with language preparation as well as organizational steps such as visa procedures and travel planning.

We support healthcare providers and nurses during the integration phase and help foster stable employment relationships.

Integration of international nurses

Successful integration as the key to long-term success

The recruitment process does not end when employment begins. Long-term success depends on how well new nurses are integrated into the team, daily workflows, and organizational culture.

We support healthcare institutions in integrating new nurses into existing teams through a structured approach.

A structured integration approach can help to:

  • make it easier for new employees to get started
  • strengthen teamwork
  • reduce misunderstandings in daily work
  • support long-term employment relationships

Countries of origin

Nurses from Europe and Thailand

Nursety Talent works with qualified nurses from various European countries as well as Thailand. These regions give employers access to well-trained professionals with different professional backgrounds and training systems.

Europe

Many European countries have well-established nursing education systems and highly qualified nurses.

Within Europe, we focus in particular on countries in Eastern and Southern Europe where trained nurses are available and education systems exist that allow work in the German healthcare sector.

Typical countries of origin include, for example:

  • Romania
  • Croatia
  • Bulgaria
  • Poland
  • Spain
  • Portugal

Thailand

Thailand is increasingly becoming an important source region for qualified nurses.

Thailand has a long tradition of academic nursing education and is internationally recognized as an important training location in the healthcare sector. Nursing education is often at bachelor’s level (Bachelor of Nursing) and follows international standards.

Many graduates have strong nursing competencies as well as a pronounced patient-centered approach.

Availability of international nurses

Healthcare providers often pursue different strategies in international recruitment. Depending on the region of origin, recruitment timelines and organizational requirements vary.

Nurses who are already working in Germany can often be available at relatively short notice. Nurses from EU member states benefit from the free movement of workers within the European Union. For international nurses from non-EU countries, however, several factors influence the duration of the recruitment process – especially language qualifications, recognition procedures, and, where applicable, official administrative procedures.

The following overview shows typical timelines for different recruitment pathways.

FAQ Employers

Nurses from non-EU countries, employers should generally plan for approximately six to nine months. For European nurses, the process can be significantly faster.

Nurses from non-EU countries, many organizations use the so-called accelerated skilled worker procedure (§81a Residence Act).

This procedure can help make cooperation between employers, authorities, and embassies more efficient.

However, the actual duration depends on various factors, in particular language skills and the processing times of the responsible authorities.

Most nurses hold a B1 or B2 language certificate before entering Germany. In addition, we recommend ongoing professional language development in daily work.

Nursety Talent supports both healthcare providers and nurses during the initial phase of employment in order to facilitate successful integration.

We work with transparent fee models and prepare individual offers based on the specific staffing needs of the organization.

Yes. We advise healthcare providers and nurses on regional funding programs and government subsidies, such as the Qualification Opportunities Act (Qualifizierungschancengesetz), which can help reduce the cost of further training or integration measures.
